I can't really add much to the reviews below. The chowder here is AMAZING! Makes this place a destination in itself, although the waits can be LONG!

We can't go thru Pismo and not stop by Splash and grab a bread bowl full of chowder. It's possibly the best around!

I was surprised when I saw a line out the door, snaking around the corner, for TAKE OUT. After all, it is only clam chowder, right? Wrong. It was one of the best clam chowders I've ever had. And the grilled bread is sooooo good! Splash Cafe is a short walk from the pier. I would suggest skipping the crowded dining room and taking your chowder to go. It's worth the wait.

I loved this place!!!!!!! It was the best place we foound in Pismo!!!! Yes the lines are long but the clam chowder is worth the wait! It is served in a sourdough bread bowl and costs less than $6!!!! Where else would you find a great tasting chowder at that price?! The fish and chips were fantastic!!!! I totally recommend this place!! It was definitely worth our drive!!!!

The clam chowder soup was excellent, along with a loaf of toasted sourdough bread! The soup and bread was all I needed, but the fish and chips was alright too.
